What is your missing piece in life?

Everyone has a huge gap between where they are, and where they want to be, but they cannot quite figure out how to get from point A to point B. There is that missing piece.

Sometimes you know the missing piece. It can be a degree. It might be more personal motivation. It might be more information about a topic. It might be money. It could be a baby. You may want to own a home. The ability to travel more. It could be better relationships with those you love or a deeper relationship with God. It most cases, we have identified the piece, but we either lack the resources, time, energy to reach it. Because, honestly, if we all had the missing pieces, we would all be super happy, right?

So, we can’t figure out how to get the missing piece that will lead us to that place, and THEN, we get sad because we feel we are running out of time to get the piece. Also, some of of find what we think looks like the piece, but it’s only a close replica. I mean, how many times have you worked on a puzzle, and picked up a piece that looks like it should fit, but it will not slide right in perfectly. Then, you try to force it a little. and it peels up a bit of the cardboard. SIGH! Eff that puzzle piece!

The worst is when you simply abandon the puzzle and it sits undone on table until months pass, you get tired of looking at it, and just put it all back in box and move on. I’ve done that too. The effort and disappointment just became too much.

Well, what if I told you that the  missing piece that you are looking for is actually how you deal with other people and the impact you have on others. That IS your missing piece. Bonnie Arbon said it best that,”You are the piece of the puzzle of someone else’s life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill their holes in their lives with the pieces of you.”

Personal connections, getting to know people, reaching out, finding that fulfillment is the ONLY way you can really reach a goal, no matter what it is.

What I have discovered is that even when you think you found the missing piece, and reached the goal, it is all meaningless unless you have people that you love, and know that you make an impact with your life every day.

Long story short, “Life isn’t about finding the pieces of a puzzle. It’s about creating, and putting those exceptional pieces together.” – Glenn Van Dekken

Instead of thinking about a missing piece today, look at things in a new way of creating a puzzle that will bring more joy to your life. Have a beautiful day, my friends.
